By JACOB POLACHECK

Delaware grad transfer Justyn Mutts has committed to Virginia Tech, per Jeff Goodman of Stadium. He will be immediately eligible with two seasons of eligibility remaining.

Mutts, a 6-foot-7, 220-pound forward, chose Virginia Tech over Mississippi State and Houston.

Mutts spent his freshman year at High Point during the 2017-18 season before transferring to Delaware.

After sitting out the 2018-19 season, Mutts averaged 12.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.3 steals per game in 33 games played as a junior. Mutts started in 29 contests and averaged 31.8 minutes per game.

Virginia Tech has commitments from Joe Bamisile, Darius Maddox and David N’Guessan. They will bring in Cordell Pemsl and Cartier Diarra as transfers.
