Bryant adds Rutgers grad transfer Peter Kiss

By ADAM ZAGORIA

Bryant College has landed a commitment from Rutgers grad transfer Peter Kiss.

The 6-foot-5, 200-pound guard from New York will be immediately eligible for coach Jared Grasso.

“I picked Bryant because of the relationship I have built with Coach Grasso,” Kiss said. “Coach Grasso also gave me an opportunity to help a program get to somewhere that they haven’t been before.

“I will bring a versatile skill set (pass, dribble, shoot) along with the experience of being an older guy who has been through the rigorous college basketball season.”

He played in just two games last season at Rutgers but averaged 6.0 points and 2.2 rebounds in 2018-19 and 13.3 points and 5.6 rebounds in 2016-17 as a true freshman at Quinnipiac under head coach Tom Moore.

He said he left Rutgers to get a “fresh start.”

Kiss is one of several Bryant newcomers including Melo Eggleston (Wake Forest/Arkansas St), Luis Hurtado (UAB), Luke Southerland (Siena), Chris Childs (Indian Hills – 2nd Team All American), Erickson Bans (Expressions), Joe Moon (Woodstock Academy) and Darius Guinn (Central Wyoming CC).
