North Carolina freshman guard Jeremiah Francis has entered the transfer portal, he confirmed to ZAGSBLOG Thursday.
After missing his final two years of high school basketball with left knee injuries, Francis was limited to 16 games this season, averaging 3.3 points, 1.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 0.4 steals per game as a freshman at UNC.
He averaged 13.6 minutes per game last season and started in three games.
Francis is the second UNC player to enter the transfer portal this month. Junior forward Brandon Huffman signed with Jacksonville State last week.
Francis is also the second UNC point guard to transfer in as many years. Seventh Woods transferred to South Carolina following the 2018-19 season.
