UCF has landed a commitment from Louisville grad tranfer Darius Perry, per Rivals.
“Johnny Dawkin, he is the right coach for him,” Darius Perry’s father, Eric Perry, told Rivals about his son’s decision to commit to UCF. “We went by relationships and not the name on the front of the jersey. They are going to put the ball into his hands and I like the pieces that are going to be around him. They will make Darius a better player.”
Perry chose UCF over schools such as Detroit, Georgia, North Carolina and San Diego, among others.
As a junior during the 2019-20 season, Perry averaged 5.2 points, 1.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 0.5 steals per game in 31 games played.
UCF will also bring in three-star prospects Jamille Reynolds and Isaiah Adams this fall.
