Gabe Wiznitzer, the 6-foot-11 center from Hargrave Military Academy (VA) and Upward Stars AAU, broke down his recruitment with ZAGSBLOG.
Wiznitzer is considering reclassifying from 2021 to 2020.
After being asked where he stands with that option, he claimed “I would still say it’s a possibility. The only reason I’m hesitant to is because I can’t physically visit the schools.”
When asked about who is prioritizing him, he said, “Providence has prioritized me the most. Some other schools that have really started to are Iowa, Iona, Cincinatti, DePaul, George Washington, Clemson, and some others.”
Wiznitzer was recently offered by Cincinnati, Iowa, Ole Miss, Saint John’s, and West Virginia.
He virtually toured Providence, Ole Miss, Cincinnati, and West Virginia.
Wiznitzer broke down his thoughts on Cincinnati: “I like the way they play and the culture that coach [John] Brannen has at Cincinnati. I think that I fit their style of play very well.”
He also mentioned that if he does not reclass to 2020, he will cut his list before his senior season begins.
When it comes down to making a decision, “development is the most important thing to me. And then their plan for me and how I fit in to how they play.”
According to 247Sports, Wiznitzer is ranked as the No. 125 player in the class of 2021.
