Jalen Green has set his announcement date.
The 6-foot-5 guard from Prolific Prep (CA) will announce his college choice April 17.
Auburn and Memphis are the most likely landing spots for Green, the No. 3 player in 2020 per 247Sports.com and the projected No. 3 pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, per ESPN.com. But he has also considered Fresno State, Oregon and USC.

Going pro is also an option but he said in January at the Hoophall Classic he plans to go to college.
“I’m thinking about college and college only,” he said then. “I’ve been [hearing] that I’m going pro, this and that, no that’s not the case. I’m going to college.”

Green said high school players who opt to go pro do so “if they want to chase the money,” and he instead wants to play in the NCAA Tournament.
“I want to play on a big stage,” he said.

Green said in January he wanted to see which players came and went to his college options, which left for the NBA and which coaches potentially left. So far, no high-major coaching changes have occurred.
“Yeah, like who leaves, who’s getting better, who’s not getting better,” he said. “Things like that.”
