Alex O’Connell transferring from Duke

By ADAM ZAGORIA

Alex O’Connell, the 6-foot-6 junior guard from Roswell, GA, is transferring from Duke, according to his Twitter.

O’Connell averaged 5.2 points and 2.2 rebounds this past season.

He initially chose Duke over Louisville and others in August 2016.

Duke will lose seniors Jack White and Javin DeLaurier, and is expected to lose several players to the NBA Draft, including sophomore Tre Jones.

Duke also has a six-man recruiting class ranked No. 2 nationally by 247Sports.com.
