Syracuse transfer Brycen Goodine lands at Providence

By RYAN McMULLEN

Brycen Goodine, the 6-foot-4 guard, has announced he will transfer from Syracuse to Providence College, per Kevin McNamara.

“I was thinking about playing at a local school and my number one local school was Providence. I’ve been on their campus a bunch of times, I like coach (Ed) Cooley and the way he coaches.” Goodine said.

Goodine played limited minutes with his lone season with the Orange. He averaged 8.7 minutes played and 1.9 points and 1.0 rebounds per game.

He is hoping to get a waiver to play next season.

He was one of three Syracuse guards to announce their transfer.
