Jalen Johnson, the 6-foot-9 Class of 2020 Duke commit, has parted ways with IMG Academy (FL), a source told ZAGSBLOG.
It remains unclear if Johnson will suit up for another school this season before going to Duke later this year. Johnson is part of the No. 1 recruiting class in the nation for the Blue Devils.
In IMG’s most recent game on Sunday, they lost to Briarcrest Christian (TN) 32-22. Tennessee commit Jaden Springer also did not play in the game after injuring his foot at the City of Palms Classic.
IMG. ranked No. 6 by USA Today, is due to meet No. 5 Huntington Prep on Friday on ESPN2 and No. 1-ranked Montverde Academy (FL) at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 19 at the Hoophall Classic in a game set for ESPN.
