Ramel Lloyd picks up Arizona State offer, talks recruitment

By JACOB POLACHECK

Ramel Lloyd Jr., the 6-foot-6 sophomore guard from Taft (CA), picked up an offer from Arizona State on Sunday, he announced via Twitter.

“The school is really nice,” Lloyd told ZAGSBLOG Tuesday. “They have great facilities, a great atmosphere and a great coaching staff.”

In addition to Arizona State, Lloyd also holds offers from Dayton, DePaul, Fresno State, Manhattan, TCU and UNLV. He has received interest from schools such as Kentucky, San Diego State, Washington, St. John’s, USC and Colorado, among others.

“I’m looking for a high level program where I can come in and have a big role on the team freshman year,” Lloyd said. “I’m a big point guard that can score at all three levels, finish at the rim, guard one through four and just makes plays.”
