International prospect Kai Sotto takes unofficial visit to Kentucky

By JACOB POLACHECK

Kentucky hosted 2020 international prospect Kai Sotto for an unofficial visit Monday, as first reported by 247Sports.

Sotto posted a video to his Twitter during his visit.

Kentucky currently has the No. 1 ranked recruiting class in 2020, with signees Terrence Clarke, BJ Boston, Devin Askew, Isaiah Jackson, Lance Ware and Cam’Ron Fletcher.

Sotto moved from the Philippines to the United States earlier this year and is enrolled at The Skill Factory (GA).

In addition to Kentucky, Sotto also has interest from schools such as Auburn, DePaul, Georgia Tech, Nebraska and USC, among others.

This past summer, Sotto played for the Philippines in the FIBA U-19 World Cup, averaging 11.7 points and 7.9 rebounds per game, in seven games.

Sotto also participated in the U-17 event last year in Argentina, averaging 16.4 points and 10.6 rebounds per game.
