“Cuse is the choice because the coaching staff all went to Cuse and played for Coach Boehiem and also got better as a player and person,” Richmond said told 247Sports.com. “It’s also the perfect play style for me to get out and run in the open floor while getting turnovers in that aggressive 2-3. And it’s a big stage to showcase my talent night and night out.”
He attended Syracuse’s 90-71 exhibition win over Daemen.
“I liked it a lot,” he said. “The message was that I am a great fit for their style a play. I like that Coach [Jim] Boeheim was honest and wasn’t trying to tell me what I want to hear.”
According to 247Sports, Richmond is ranked No. 101 nationally and is the No. 11 combo guard in 2020. Syracuse offered him earlier this month.
“Kadary is a guard who possesses great versatility,” Brewster coach Jason Smith told ZAGSBLOG. “He’s able to make plays for others and create for himself. It’s difficult to speed him up. He’s been well-coached at the high school level at South Shore, as well as the grassroots level with Mass Rivals. I’m looking forward to working with him at Brewster and following his career playing for the legendary Coach Boeheim at Syracuse.”
