Cade Cunningham, Paolo Banchero highlight Big Blue Madness at Kentucky

By ADAM ZAGORIA

Kentucky hosted its annual “Big Blue Madness” on Friday night and once again a slew of the most sought-after recruits in the nation were on hand.

Cade Cunningham, the 6-foot-6 combo guard from Montverde Academy (FL), skipped the USA Basketball mini-camp in Colorado Springs to take his official visit to Kentucky this weekend and was reportedly greeted with “We want Cade” chants from Big Blue Nation.

Cunningham has previously taken official visits to Oklahoma State (Sept. 6), North Carolina (Sept. 27) and Florida (Oct. 4). He will also take a visit to Washington later this month (Oct. 20). His older brother, Cannen Cunningham, is on Mike Boynton’s staff at Oklahoma State, but Cade has said he’s “open” in his recruitment.

Meantime, Paolo Banchero, the 6-9 2021 power forward from O’Dea (WA), was also at Big Blue Madness. He took his first official visit to North Carolina (Sept. 27-29) and has visits planned to Duke (Oct. 17-20), Tennessee (Oct. 25-27) and Gonzaga (Jan. 18-19).

Kentucky commit Terrence Clarke, the 6-7 wing from Brewster (N.H.) Academy who committed to Kentucky last month and reclassified to 2020 from 2021, is also on campus.
