John Calipari meets with 2020 forward Isaiah Jackson

By ADAM ZAGORIA

Isaiah Jackson, the 6-foot-9, 195-pound power forward from Waterford Mott High School (MI), met with Kentucky coach John Calipari Tuesday night at Jackson’s high school, his father told ZAGSBLOG.

“Cal came to the high school yesterday,” Wesley Jackson said. “The visit went well. He said he just wanted him to know personally Isaiah is an important piece to his recruitment.”

Calipari spent Monday in New Jersey watching 6-8 forward Jonathan Kuminga at The Patrick School. Kuminga is a Class of 2021 prospect who has the option of reclassifying to 2020.

Kentucky has four commits in 2020, but just one frontcourt player in Camden (N.J.) forward Lance Ware, who played AAU ball with Kuminga with the NY Rens.

Kentucky remains involved for several uncommitted frontcourt players, including Jackson, Greg Brown and Cliff Omoruyi.

Jackson is ranked the No. 3 power forward in the Class of 2020 by 247Sports.com. He visited Kentucky Aug. 30 and will next visit Syracuse (Sept. 27-29) before a planned trip to Alabama in October.
