Ahron Ulis to Iowa

By JACOB POLACHECK

Ahron Ulis, the 6-foot-2 point guard from Marian Catholic (IL), announced his commitment to Iowa on Tuesday, via Twitter.

“I wanted to play at that level my entire life, but I also wanted to make sure I found the right fit for me at that level,” Ulis told the Chicago Sun-Times. “I knew I would find the right place and right fit for me and Iowa is that for me.”

Ulis chose Iowa over schools such as DePaul, Illinois-Chicago, New Mexico, Northern Illinois, Siena, South Dakota, Southern Illinois, Toledo and UW Milwaukee, among others.

According to 247Sports, Ulis is ranked as the No. 240 overall player in the Class of 2020 and the No. 6 player from the state of Illinois. He is the younger brother of former Kentucky Wildcats guard Tyler Ulis.

Ulis is the first commit in Iowa’s 2020 class.
