USA Basketball trims U19 roster to 18 finalists

USA Basketball on Tuesday announced the 18-man roster that will go forward for the U19 World Cup in Greece later this summer.

The roster will be trimmed to 12 on Thursday ahead of the World Cup which runs June 29-July 7 in Heraklion, Greece.

The list of finalists includes five USA gold medalists, five players who completed their first collegiate season in 2018-19, five athletes from the high school class of 2019 and eight players from the high school class of 2020.

The roster features:

Josh Christopher (Mayfair HS/Ca.)

Cade Cunningham (Montverde Academy/Fla.)

Jalen Green (Prolific Prep/Ca.)

Tyrese Haliburton (Iowa State)

Walker Kessler (Woodward Academy/Ga.)

Kira Lewis Jr. (Alabama)

Isaac Likekele (Oklahoma State)

Evan Mobley (Rancho Christian/Ca.)

Casey Morsell (St. John’s HS/D.C.)

Zeke Nnaji (Arizona)

Reggie Perry (Mississippi State)

Jeremiah Robinson-Earl (Villanova)

Jalen Suggs (Minnehaha Academy/Minn.)

Anton Watson (Gonzaga Prep/Wash.)
