Duke signs Vernon Carey Jr., Matthew Hurt, Cassius Stanley

By JACOB POLACHECK

Duke head basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski announced the addition of 2019 recruits Vernon Carey Jr., Matthew Hurt and Cassius Stanley on Tuesday.

They will enter the Duke program for the 2019-20 season and join Wendell Moore and Rejean “Boogie” Ellis who signed during the early signing period in November.

According to 247Sports, Duke currently has the No. 1 ranked recruiting class for 2019. They are no longer in the running for R.J. Hampton, who reclassified to 2019 on Tuesday and released a new list.
