Kentucky’s P.J. Washington is walking without a cast

By ADAM ZAGORIA

Kentucky got some great news on Tuesday when P.J. Washington posted video of himself walking without a cast.

Washington missed Kentucky’s first two games in the NCAA Tournament with a foot sprain but now looks like he’ll play in Friday’s Sweet 16 matchup against Houston in Kansas City. He is Kentucky’s leading scorer at 14.8 points per game along with 7.5 rebounds per contest.

“We could be very good,” freshman E.J. Montgomery told me after Houston edged out Wofford on Saturday in Jacksonville, Fla. “If we get P.J. back it’s just going to be just another level. We’re all going to come out with the same energy and just try to ‘W’s.”

“It would be a huge get,” Tyler Herro told me. “I’m not too sure what his status is, so hopefully he’ll be back. Obviously, he’s one of the best players in the country so we’d love to have him back.”
