James Harden outscored seven NCAA Tournament teams on Friday

By ADAM ZAGORIA

With his career-high tying 61-point outburst against the Spurs on Friday, James Harden outscored seven NCAA Tournament teams:

Iowa State – 59

VCU – 58

Northern Kentucky – 57

Gardner Webb – 56

Georgia State – 55

Wisconsin – 54

Saint Louis – 52

Utah State scored 61 in a loss to Washington, so Harden had as many or more points than eight NCAA Tournament teams.

In his last two games, he’s scored 118 points.
