Maryland-bound Donta Scott, Imhotep upset Cole Anthony, Oak Hill at City of Palms

By ADAM ZAGORIA

Maryland-bound wing Donta Scott told me this week at the City of Palms Classic that he didn’t like losing and he was there to win games.

Now Scott has led his Imhotep Charter (PA) school to the finals of City of Palms by scoring 25 points and grabbing 6 rebounds in a 70-60 win over Cole Anthony and top-seeded Oak Hill Acacdemy (VA) in the semifinals on Friday night.

The uncommitted Anthony had 33 points and 7 rebounds in the loss.

Jamil Riggins added 12 points and Elijah Taylor had 11 points and 9 rebounds for the Philadelphia school.

Imhotep will meet McEachern (GA) in Saturday’s championship game at 7:30 p.m. after McEachern topped Mountain Brook (AL), 50-20. The game will be livestreamed on FloHoops.com.

Sharife Cooper scored 15 points and grabbed 3 rebounds for McEachern, and Auburn commit Isaac Okoro had 12 points and 6 rebounds.

Uncommitted senior Trendon Watford managed just 4 points on 1-of-7 shooting and 11 rebounds in the loss.
