Jeremiah Robinson-Earl, the 6-foot-8 power forward from IMG (FL) Academy, has committed to Villanova, his coach LJ Goolsby told 247Sports Tuesday. He took an official visit to Villanova last month (Sept. 14).
“Robinson-Earl is one of the most productive players in the country,” said Goolsby. “He has a tremendous motor and is an excellent athlete. He scores from the mid-range and in, and should be a big time multi-year contributor at Villanova.”
After cutting his list to two earlier this month, Robinson-Earl chose the Wildcats over Kansas. He joins Bryan Antoine, Justin Moore, and Eric Dixon as the fourth commit in the Wildcats’ 2019 class.
In addition to his Villanova visit, Robinson-Earl also took official visits to Notre Dame (Sept. 7), North Carolina (Sept. 21), Kansas (Sept. 28), and Arizona (Oct. 12).
Playing with KC Run GMC on the Under Armour circuit this summer, Robinson-Earl averaged 19.5 points and 11.4 rebounds per game.
According to 247Sports, Robinson-Earl is ranked as the No. 18 overall player in the Class of 2019 and the No. 4 player from the state of Florida.
IMG Academy now has players going to the last three NCAA champions (Villanova, North Carolina, Villanova) as well as Arizona. Big man Armando Bacot is committed to UNC and wing Josh Green to Arizona.
“Villanova is getting a first-rate young man, who is a leader in every way imaginable,” IMG coach Sean McAloon told ZAGSBLOG. “His work ethic will help him contribute to their run of success as soon as he walks in the door. We couldn’t be more excited for Jeremiah and his family.”
