Class of 2020 point guard Jeremy Roach visits Duke, Villanova up next

By ADAM ZAGORIA

Jeremy Roach, the 6-foot-2 point from Paul VI Catholic (VA), took an official visit to Duke this past weekend.

Ranked the No. 1 point guard in the Class of 2020, Roach holds offers from Duke, Kentucky, North Carolina and Villanova, among others.

“Jeremy and his family had a great visit,” head coach Glenn Farello said. “He got a chance to watch practice twice. He really appreciates that all the coaches played for Coach K.”

Roach helped Team Takeover win the Peach Jam title, and also captured gold this summer with the USA U17 team at the FIBA World Championship in Argentina.

Duke is also involved for Class of 2020 shooting guard Brandon Boston and combo guard R.J. Hampton. Boston will visit Duke Oct. 19.

Roach will next take an unofficial visit to Villanova Nov. 3, and “The plan is to do official visits in the spring/summer and work from there,” Farello said.
