Arizona lands Cornell grad transfer Stone Gettings

Stone Gettings, the 6-foot-9, 235-pound junior forward from Cornell, has committed to Arizona as a graduate transfer, according to 247Sports.com.

Gettings averaged 16.7 points and 6.6 rebounds last season at Cornell, and should help Sean Miller’s club right away. He also considered Stanford and Vanderbilt

“I decided to commit to Arizona,” Gettings told 247. “I’ll be going there for my graduate transfer and I’m beyond excited.”

“I received interest and everything from a lot of different schools and at the end of the day I felt a lot of confidence in Sean Miller and the history of Arizona,” he added. “I feel like it’s going to give me the best opportunity to reach my full potential. I’m really excited to be apart of the rich history of the program and be close to home.”

Arizona’s 2018 recruiting class includes point guards Brandon Williams and Devonaire Doutrive and wing Omar Thielemans.
