Saddiq Bey to Villanova

By ADAM ZAGORIA

Villanova continued to beef up its roster in the wake of losing four players to the NBA.

Saddiq Bey, the 6-foot-7 small forward from Sidwell Friends (D.C.), committed to Villanova on Friday after taking an official visit.

Bey previously asked for his release from N.C. State after they landed a pledge from Kentucky transfer Sacha Killeya-Jones.

“I believe Saddiq adds to their style with his versatility to do multiple things on the court,” Sidwell Friends coach Eric Singletary said. “An insatiable work ethic gives him an opportunity to be a very good player for Nova.”

He is ranked the No. 19 small forward in the Class of 2018.

Bey joins a 2018 recruiting class for Villanova that includes Jahvon Quinerly, Cole Swider and Brandon Slater.
