Boise State’s Chandler Hutchinson pulls out of NBA Draft Combine

By ADAM ZAGORIA

Boise State’s Chandler Hutchinson has pulled out of the NBA Draft Combine, multiple league sources told ZAGSBLOG.

The Combine runs Wednesday-Saturday this week in Chicago.

Several league sources say the 6-foot-7 Hutchinson has a promise from an NBA team that he will be drafted, and is taking the conservative course by skipping the Combine. ESPN.com has him projected as the No. 24 pick to the Portland Trail Blazers in their latest post-Lottery mock.

Hutchinson averaged 20.0 points and 7.7 rebounds last season at Boise State while shooting 48 percent from the field and 36 percent from deep.

“Hutchison made significant strides with his game as a senior,” ESPN’s Jonathan Givony wrote in his mock. “He looks primed to take advantage of the lack of wings in the draft — and the NBA in general — this June. He has outstanding physical tools and is a much-improved ball handler and perimeter shooter.”
