Wagner lands JUCO standout Jeff Coulanges

By ADAM ZAGORIA

Wagner on Thursday landed a pledge from junior college standout Jeff Coulanges of Daytona (FL) State College.

The 6-foot-3, 190-pound guard also considered Southeastern Louisiana and Northern Arizona.

“I was blessed to have a couple opportunities to chose from,” he said. “I felt most confident with Wagner. They have great coaches who have built a winning culture. It’s also close to my hometown, which made the decision easier.”

The Trenton, N.J., native averaged 13.4 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.9 assists while shooting 38 percent from beyond the arc for a team that finished 19-12.

“I’m versatile player who can score it and take pride on the defensive side,” he said.

Coulanges attended Mandarin (FL) High School and was the Class 8A Player of the Year in 2015-16.
