Devonaire Doutrive to Arizona

By SEAN BOCK

Devonaire Doutrive, the 6-foot-3 guard from Van Nuys (CA), has committed to Arizona, his stepfather, Laurian Watkins, told 247Sports. Doutrive took an official visit to campus on Thursday.

Doutrive chose the Wildcats over Georgetown, Arizona State, and UNLV among others.

“It just seemed like a good fit,” Watkins told 247. “He’s got two of brothers in the PAC-12 and having three close to home is good.”

“The whole atmosphere. You can tell when you walk in there that it was a program of prestige and after meeting with the staff and counselors, it was something we could support as parents.”

Doutrive is the first commit for Sean Miller in the 2018 class.

According to 247Sports, Doutrive is the No. 82 player in the class and the No. 16 shooting guard.
