Duke, Syracuse visit Isaiah Stewart

By ADAM ZAGORIA

Isaiah Stewart, the 6-foot-8 Class of 2019 center from La Lumiere (IN) and the Albany City Rocks, hosted a couple of big-name coaches on Thursday.

Syracuse head man Jim Boeheim and Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski both visited Stewart on the first day of the April recruiting period.

“[Coach Boeheim’s] message to me was that I’m their No. 1 target for the 2019 class,” Stewart said.

“Coach K came in as well. His message was I’m the top target for them to get and he feels I will be great at Duke.”

Ranked No. 13 in the 2019 ESPN 60, Stewart is also being recruited by Georgetown, Texas, Maryland, Nortre Dame, Marquette, Tennessee, Iowa, George Washington, Florida State, Villanova, and Kansas.
