Kansas senior guard Devonte’ Graham was named the Big 12 Player of the Year on Saturday, while Oklahoma’s Trae Young was named Freshman of the Year.
Graham averaged 17.6 points, 7.2 assists and 4.0 rebounds for the Jayhawks.
Young averaged 27.5 points, 8.9 assists and 3.9 rebounds for the Sooners.
West Virginia’s Jevon Carter was named Defensive Player of the Year, while Kansas’ Malik Newman was named Newcomer of the Year.
Kansas coach Bill Self, who won a 14th straight Big 12 regular-season title, and Texas Tech’s Chris Beard were selected co-Coaches of the Year.
