Georgetown, Marquette latest to offer Ashton Hagans

Georgetown and Marquette became the latest schools to offer five-star point guard Ashton Hagans of Covington (GA) Newton, Game Elite coach Chris Williams told ZAGSBLOG.

Marquette’s entire staff was on hand Wednesday night, as was Georgetown assistant Robert Kirby, as Hagans went for 31 points in an 86-81 win over E.J. Montgomery and Marietta (GA) Wheeler. N.C. State head man Kevin Keatts and UNC assistant Brad Frederick were also in attendance; UNC is also recruiting Montgomery. Both schools have already offered Hagans, ranked the No. 1 point guard in the Class of 2019 by 247Sports.om.

Hagans announced his de-commitment from Georgia on Monday with Georgia coach Mark Fox on the hot set seat.”

“He’s not all the way backing (out),” Hagans’ father Marvin Hagans told Rivals. “We just need to figure out what’s going on. Georgia is still at the top. We just don’t want to go into a situation that we didn’t sign up for.”

Hagans may reclassify to 2018 from 2019.

“Everyone would take him right now,” Williams told ZAGSBLOG.
