Russell Westbrook and John Calipari have already sung the praises of Oklahoma freshman guard Trae Young.
Go ahead and throw Steph Curry into that mix as well.
“He’s unbelievable, just the confidence that he plays with,” Curry said of Young following the Warriors win over Dallas Wednesday night.
“He has a creativity to his game that’s so fluid to watch. The comparisons are what they are and I know when I turn on the game to watch him play, that kind of magnetism is pretty special in the college game…He’s fun to watch.”

Young is now as high as No. 3 on at least one mock draft from Sporting News — behind only Luka Doncic and Duke’s Marvin Bagley III.
Young went for 27 points, 10 assists and 9 rebounds in No. 7 Oklahoma’s 109-89 win over Oklahoma State Wednesday night. He now has seven games of 25 points and 10 rebounds in just 13 games, the most of any major conference player in the last 20 seasons.
Speaking to Scott Van Pelt on SportsCenter, Young says he’s not caught up in comparisons to guys like Curry, and instead wants to be the best version possible of himself.
“I’m very humbled by the comparisons of a lot of NBA players,” he said. “I try to take a little bit from a lot of guys, but I feel the best comparison is Trae Young. I want to be the best version of myself, and I love that comparison the best.”
