Kris Wilkes and Aaron Holiday scored 20 points apiece as UCLA upset No. 7 Kentucky, 83-75, in the CBS Sports Classic in New Orleans.
Thomas Welsh added 13 points and 11 rebounds for UCLA.
The Bruins (9-3), who are playing without the three players arrested in China last month on shoplifting charges, have now won three of their last five matchups with the Wildcats. Kentucky beat UCLA in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament a year ago.
UCLA on Friday extended the suspensions of Jalen Hill and Cody Riley through the 2017-18 season, while LiAngelo Ball has left the team to pursue a professional opportunity with his brother LaMelo in Lithuania.
The loss snapped a seven-game winning streak for Kentucky (9-2), which hosts rival Louisville on Friday.
Hamidou Diallo led Kentucky with 18 points, Wenyen Gabriel had 16 and Kevin Knox 15.
Some 30 NBA personnel were expected at the game.
