Jaelen House, the 6-foot-2 point guard from Shadow Mountain (AZ) High School, announced his commitment to Arizona State on Friday via Twitter.
“I committed because I love the coaching staff and I feel like this is a place where I will fit in and be able to play my game,” House told 247Sports on Friday. “On the plus side it’s not too bad that I get stay home.”
According to 247Sports, House is ranked as the No. 118 overall player in the Class of 2019 and the No. 4 player from the state of Arizona. He is the son of former 11-year NBA veteran and ASU star Eddie House. House chose ASU over schools such as Long Beach State and Southern Utah.
Although House is the first commit in the Sun Devils’ 2019 class, ASU currently has commitments from 2021 forward Mike Foster, 2020 guard Kyree Walker, and 2018 commits Luguentz Dort and Elias Valtonen.
