Noah Locke, the 6-foot-2 point guard from McDonogh School (MD), committed to Florida on Tuesday night.
“Go Gators,” he said as he unveiled a blue Florida T-shirt.
Ranked the No. 14 point guard in the Class of 2018 by 247Sports.com, Locke had visited Ohio State (Aug. 22), Providence (Aug. 31), Xavier (Sept. 9), Michigan (Sept. 16), and Florida (Sept. 30).
“Coach Mike White is a really nice guy, my family really likes him,” he told PrepHoops in August.
“They’re a top 25 team almost every year and some great guards have come out of that school. They let their guards do what they do. That’s something I’m really considering.”
Locke’s commitment comes about 24 hours after Florida landed Montverde (FL) Academy point guard Andrew Nembhard. The Gators have one scholarship left for 2018.
Playing for Team Melo on the Nike EYBL Circuit, Locke averaged 18.2 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in 16 games.
