Amir Harris to Rhode Island

Amir Harris, a 6-foot-5, 185-pound guard from St. James (MD), committed to Rhode Island during his visit Sunday.

Harris chose the Rams over Temple

“Coach (Dan) Hurley and the entire coaching staff are truly invested in the team and it also felt like I had family away from home while I was on my visit,” he said

“The players are all similar and like the same things that I like and I could tell that there would be a quick bond as soon as we met. I will bring an aggressive and focused mentality to the table and be someone who thrives and will be the best.”

Harris joins shooting guard Tyrese Martin and small forward Dana Tate in Rhody’s 2018 class.

Rhody loses four senior guards after this season in E.C. Matthews, Jared Terrell, Jarvis Garrett and Stan Robinson.
