Zion Williamson, the No. 2 ranked player in 2018 per ESPN.com, has added official visits to Kentucky (Sept. 22) and Kansas (Sept. 30), his father Lee Williamson confirmed to ZAGSBLOG.
Corey Evans of Rivals first reported the dates.
Williamson previously announced official visits to Duke (Oct. 20) and UCLA (Oct. 27). He also took an unofficial visit to Clemson this past weekend.
Meantime, Kentucky coach John Calipari and UCLA coach Steve Alford are slated to have in-home visits Wednesday with Class of 2018 star, while South Carolina’s Frank Martin will be in Thursday, his father confirmed.
Calipari’s initial meeting with Williamson was postponed by Hurricane Irma.
Calipari on Monday was at Oak Hill Academy (VA) for wing Keldon Johnson, and on Tuesday morning he was one of nearly 40 coaches at Vermont Academy for standout forward Simi Shittu. South Carolina’s Martin was also on hand for Shittu.
“Part of what we do is we gotta get out,” Calipari told USA Today. “The first two weeks (of the period), we’re out. If I get home, it’s because I get home at 10 p.m., and I gotta leave the next day.”
