Oregon hosted a pair of high-profile recruits this past weekend in Louis King and Luguentz Dort.
King, the 6-foot-8 small forward from Hudson (N.J.) Catholic and Team Final, is down to a top eight schools of Maryland, Seton Hall, UConn, Oregon, Syracuse, Kansas, Purdue and N.C. State. He took his first official to Oregon.
“The campus was mind-blowing,” said his mother, Ativea King. “Their message was to come in and be a key piece to what they are wanting to accomplish.”
King, who currently has no other visits planned, also spent time on the visit with Dort, who called the visit “great.”
“They really love my game,” Dort said of Oregon. “They want me to play the point and the shooting guard. I loved the campus and great facilities, good people and great coaching staff.”
The 6-4 Dort from the Brookwood Elite AAU program and Athlete Institute (Ontario) will next visit Arizona State (Sept. 16) and Baylor (Sept. 23). He’s also considering Miami, Indiana and Michigan State. Baylor coach Scott Drew was in to watch him Tuesday at Athlete Institute.”
