Buddy Boeheim, the 6-foot-5 shooting guard from Brewster (N.H.) Academy, has committed to play for his father Jim Boeheim at Syracuse.
“Growing up, going to the games, going to the Dome year in and year out, watching your dad on the sideline,” Boeheim told Scout. “Having the chance to play for him would mean everything to me. Especially with a coaching staff like that. They’re like family to me. All of that makes this the main reason why I want to play there.”
This is all I ever wanted growing up. Thank you to everyone who made this possible. Go Orange ? #Committed https://t.co/AJ2J1P46CJ pic.twitter.com/P8WBA2GF4x

Boeheim joins Darius Bazley as Syracuse’s second commit in 2018. They are also hosting New Jersey point guard Jalen Carey this weekend on an official visit.
“Buddy is a tremendous shooter who possess an outstanding work ethic and desire to improve,” Brewster Academy head coach told D1VISION on Friday. “I’m excited to have him in our community this year.”
