Elijah Weaver names final four schools

By SEAN BOCK

Elijah Weaver, the 6-foot-4 point guard from Oldsmar Christian (FL) School, announced his final four schools on Wednesday via his Twitter.

Weaver will visit USC on Sept. 2, Ohio State on Sept. 9, Florida on Sept. 16, and Oklahoma State on Sept. 22.

Weaver talked to Scout about what he likes in USC, Ohio State, and Florida earlier this summer.

“I went there unofficially, and I liked it. I am looking forward to getting to know the staff and campus better during the official visit.” Weaver said about Trojans. “I already really like the USC coaching staff, and I had a good time on the unofficial visit, so I am excited to see what an official visit will be like.”

After the USC trip, Weaver will visit Ohio State and new head coach Chris Holtmann.

“I am looking forward to seeing the campus,” Weaver said about Ohio State.  “The coaches tell me it is a great place and a big campus, and I am looking forward to seeing it. I have a great relationship with the staff, and it should be a good official visit where I can learn more about the school.”

As for Florida, Weaver is very familiar with the Gator basketball tradition.

“I don’t really need to see anything in specific,” Weaver said. “I have been there a lot, so I just want to go there and continue to build the relationship I have with the coaches and players.”

According to 247Sports.com, Weaver is the No. 35 ranked recruit in the class of 2018 and the No. 8 player in the state of Florida.
