Dotson, who averaged 17.4 points and 6.9 rebounds last season at Houston, earlier this month signed with the Knicks. He will be in training camp with the team beginning late next month.
His former coach, Kelvin Sampson, meantime has urged his fellow college coaches to donate sneakers and clothing to victims of Harvey, and many colleges have answered the call.
