Steph Curry, Warriors agree to five-year, $201-million deal that’s richest in NBA history

Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors have agreed to a five-year, $201-million deal that is the richest in NBA history, as first reported by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

It is the first NBA contract worth in excess of $200 million.

The two-time NBA MVP had previously been underpaid while on a four-year, $44-million contract. He was the 82nd-highest paid player in the NBA a year ago, and the fourth-highest on his own team, per ESPN.

Curry has averaged 22.8 points and 6.8 assists in eight seasons in Golden State, where he has helped the Warriors win two of the last three NBA titles.
