Sid Wilson Visiting UConn, St. John’s

Brewster (N.H.) Academy wing Sid Wilson has several visits coming up in the next few days.

The 6-foot-7 Wilson will visit UConn Thursday-Friday before heading to St. John’s Saturday-Sunday.

“Coach [Dwayne] Killings was recruiting me even when he was at Temple, so he moved to UConn and he started pushing for me there,” Wilson told ZAGSBLOG earlier this year. “Coach [Kevin] Ollie, when I went on an unofficial, his message was great to me. He just felt that I was one of those players he could just push to be great so that was mind-boggling to me, like he’s got that much faith in me as a player.”

St. John’s, meantime, has three scholarships available in 2017. Wilson is a New York native who played at St. Raymond’s in The Bronx before spending this past season at Brewster.

Wilson recently announced he planned to attend college in 2017 after initially planning to reclassify to 2018.

Texas and Syracuse are among the other schools involved.
