Latavious Williams, the No. 6 power forward in the nation, will announce his college choice Monday during a press conference.
Williams will choose from among Memphis, Georgetown and Kansas State, said his high school coach, Carlos Wilson.
“I’m ready to get it over with,” Williams, a 6-foot-7, 195-pound wing forward, told Jerry Meyer of Rivals.com. “Then I can get some guidance getting through the Clearinghouse.”
Memphis coach Josh Pastner recently visited with Williams, and assistant coaches from Georgetown and Kansas State have also come there, Rivals reported.
Wilson previously said that Europe might also be an option if Williams doesn’t qualify academically.
“If he didn’t qualify I’m thinking he would maybe have to look at some junior college or possibly some European situations,” Wilson said.
“I think Europe is a viable option in his mind. I really do think there’s a possibility that he would look into playing overseas if he didn’t qualify. It just depends.”

Zag,
A couple days ago, there was a post discussing the issue with USC.
And how it could impact MoMo.
Do you remember it? It is probably still posted from last week.
So, it is sadly out.
It is finally OUT, on the lite-side.
Read the thread called….What now ? USC calling on …….(page 2)..
And some good discussions on the comment on
http://uahoopscoach.com/?p=1556&cpage=1#comment-12479
So, WHAT IMPACT does it have for MoMo?
And is Sid done looking at all of his schools?
Sadly to report
“source close to the Sidney family said school officials expressed concern about signing the player while an NCAA investigation into former USC stars Reggie Bush, a Heisman Trophy winner in football, and O.J. Mayo, a first-round NBA pick last year, was still open.
Sidney’s father, Renardo Sr., “didn’t want his son to be the scapegoat for those allegations,” the source said without elaborating why that could happen. “Neither side wanted an impending investigation hanging over them.”

WHAT is your take on the situation?
More statement…
Sidney, a 6-foot-11 power forward, … a source close to the family said the Sidneys and USC had agreed upon “a mutual parting of the ways.”
I believe this happened last week….

Zag,
Are the folks in Arizona suffering from heat stroke.
What is your assessment of this? How realistic?
They are talking about this 2009 recruiting class.
“How would this recruiting class LOOK?
5/4 – Kyryl Natyazhko (4 star)
5- Sid (5 Stars)
SF – Solomon Hill (4 star), Kevin Parrom (4 star)
SG – Lance Stephenson (5 star)
I must be DREAMING….because all I am seeing is STARS.
This is “Arizona Good”
**The only other thing is that Arizona would have two of our former recruits.
S.HIll and Sid.

USC.trojan. Are you on a permanent sugar high all the time? You post multiple times in each posts and over half the stuff you post doesnt even make sense.

I would think he lands at Memphis or Georgetown, but then he has to qualify. So we won’t really know about his status until he passes through the Clearinghouse. As his coach says, don’t rule out Europe or JUCO.

So…you really think Lance would go to Arizona with these other “stars” since this is the reason everyone think he won’t go to KU. So why would he go to Arizona and not KU? You are delusional if you think that will be your line up next year.
