Malik Fitts to St. Mary’s

Malik Fitts, a 6-foot-8 forward from Brewster (N.H.) Academy and Rancho Cucamonga, CA, will transfer to St. Mary’s from South Florida.

The No. 55 small forward in the Class of 2016 according to 247Sports.com, Fitts averaged 7.4 points and 4.6 rebounds last season. He will sit one season to play three.

“I really respect and trust coach [Randy] Bennett and his staff to develop me as a player,” Fitts said. “A lot of St. Mary’s really reminds me of my high school. And I also love the winning culture that he has been having throughout the years he has been there. Also being close to home isn’t as bad so I’m really excited for this next journey.”
