Quinnipiac Transfer Peter Kiss Focusing on Four Schools

Transferring Quinnipiac combo guard Peter Kiss is focusing on four schools and has a pair of upcoming visits.

The 6-foot-5 Kiss will take an official visit to Auburn this weekend and Rutgers the following weekend. He visited Seton Hall unofficially on Sunday and is also considering Rhode Island. He said he’s open to other schools as well.

Kiss averaged 13.3 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists at Quinnipiac, including dropping 19 points on Seton Hall, 22 on Monmouth and 23 on Niagara. He will sit the 2017-18 season and then have three years of eligibility remaining.

“Seton Hall’s message was they were losing two all-conference guards” after next season in Khadeen Carrington and Desi Rodriguez, Kiss said. “The year I’m sitting out I would be working with Coach [Kevin] Willard and coach Shaheen [Holloway] developing me. Then I would step in and help them continue their success the year I’m eligible.”

Said his mentor Derrik Riullano: “He’s a late bloomer and the sky’s the limit for him in the right program.”

Mikey Dixon, Kiss’ former Quinnipiac teammate, committed to St. John’s on Tuesday.
