GLENDALE, Ariz. — Seton Hall has offered transferring Quinnipiac combo guard Peter Kiss, his mentor Derrik Riullano told ZAGSBLOG on Friday.
The 6-foot-5 Kiss received his release from Quinnipiac after the coaching change that ushered in Baker Dunleavy and he’s already added an offer from St. John’s and interest from Cal, Auburn and Fordham.
Kiss will visit Iona on Thursday or Friday and Seton Hall on Sunday
Kiss averaged 13.3 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists at Quinnipiac, including dropping 19 points on Seton Hall, 22 on Monmouth and 23 on Niagara.
Meantime, Seton Hall awaits word on Jordan Walker, the point guard from The Patrick School who is mulling whether to attend college in 2017-18 or prep school, possibly at Montverde (FL) Academy. Pirates head coach Kevin Willard and associate head coach Shaheen Holloway met recently with Walker, who led the Celtics to the Tournament of Champions title.
Kevin Walker, Jordan’s father, told ZAGSBLOG the family was still weighing its options because Jordan is just 17 and they hope to have a decision in the coming weeks.
Seton Hall is involved for 2017 point guard Trevon Duval, who is also considering Arizona, Baylor, Duke and Kansas and has said he hopes to decide in April or early May.
Meantime, Seton Hall junior big man Angel Delgado is testing the NBA Draft waters and awaits a possible invite to the NBA Draft Combine in Chicago May 9-14.
Sources said Delgado’s decision on whether to return to campus or go pro, should it come in time, could impact Duval’s decision.
