Arizona freshman forward Lauri Markkanen will declare for the NBA Draft with the intention of signing with an agent, he said in a press conference Thursday.
The 7-foot Markkanen averaged 15.6 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 0.9 assists as the Wildcats reached the Sweet 16 of the NCAA tournament.
Markkanen is projected as the No. 8 pick by DraftExpress.com.
The Pac-12 will likely have four one-and-done first-round picks in Markkanen, Washington’s Markelle Fultz and UCLA’s Lonzo Ball and T.J. Leaf.
