Syracuse’s Tyler Lydon Expected to Declare for NBA Draft

By JACOB POLACHECK

Syracuse forward Tyler Lydon will declare for the NBA and sign with an agent according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.

Lydon finished his sophomore year averaging 13.2 points and a team-high 8.6 rebounds per game. He is projected to be the No. 23 pick in the 2017 Draft according to DraftExpress.

Syracuse was eliminated from the NIT tournament on Saturday following their 85-80 loss against Ole Miss.

Syracuse associate head coach Mike Hopkins was hired on Sunday to replace Lorenzo Romar as the next Washington head coach. He was due to take over for Jim Boeheim following the 2017-18 season when Boeheim was set to retire. But Boeheim was signed to an extension beyond the 2017-18 season on Sunday.
