The Tar Heels had been a 2 seed in Lunardi’s previous bracket.
In 12 of the last 13 years, the ACC has had at least one No. 1 seed.
Lunardi has Louisville, Arizona, Oregon and Baylor as the 2 seeds.
The 3s are Kentucky, Duke, Florida State and Florida, with the 4s slated as Purdue, Butler, West Virginia and UCLA.
The ACC is projected to have 10 teams in the Big Dance followed by the Big 12 and Big Ten at seven apiece, and the Big East with six.
In terms of New York/New Jersey area teams, Seton Hall is a 12 seed and among the “Last Four In,” along with Big East rival Marquette; Monmouth is a 13 and Princeton a 13.
