Knicks’ Melo a Fan of St. Raymond’s Point Guard Isaiah Washington, Who Will Be in SNY Invitational

Two days before St. Raymond’s was set to play New York Catholic league rival Bishop Loughlin on January 13th, Isaiah Washington called up Carmelo Anthony and let him know about the game.

Sure enough, when game day arrived, Anthony turned up at the St. Raymond’s gym along with fellow Knicks Brandon Jennings and Kyle O’Quinn and rising Def Jam recording artist Dave East.

“I had spoke to Melo and another good friend that knows Melo and they said they was going to come through,” the 6-foot-1, 185-pound Washington, who runs with the New Heights AAU program, told SNY.tv by phone.
